Rūre has launched a major project in Latvia that will transform the concept of elderly care.
In four geographically diverse locations — Jaunolaine, Liepāja, Laidze Parish, and Višķi in the Augšdaugava Region — new-generation senior centers are being developed as an alternative to traditional institutional care facilities.
The new approach is based on a family-like and respectful environment, where seniors will live in small community homes, maintaining their independence, privacy, and sense of belonging.
Each of the four projects includes the construction of three buildings, providing homes for up to 16 seniors each, or 48 residents per complex.

The beginning of each project is marked by a symbolic event — the placement of a time capsule, representing confidence in the future and today’s shared values.
Time capsules have already been sealed in Olaine, Liepāja, and Talsi Municipality, and on November 14, the final one will be inaugurated in Augšdaugava Region.
Each capsule contains a message to future generations, a newspaper, project sketches, and coins featuring Latvian symbols — a reminder that every major change begins with faith in people and the recognition of their worth at any age.
The projects are implemented with the support of the European Union Recovery Fund in cooperation with the Central Finance and Contracting Agency.
The project’s client and executor is Magnum Social & Medical Care Ltd. — our company, which combines professional medical care with a warm, home-like atmosphere.
The goal is to create a community-based model of care, giving seniors the opportunity to live with dignity and stay active, without losing their connection to society.
All four senior home complexes will be completed by June 2026, becoming modern, human-centered care facilities, where every resident will feel safe, valued, and understood.
These homes are more than just buildings — they represent a new vision for Latvia’s future and the place of its seniors within it.
